Would you defy the gods to save the ones you love?

People across Aedica have been disappearing.

When Vivian Clarke loses her own younger brother, she is willing to risk everything to find him and bring him back. Even her own soul.

Allying with a mysterious stranger in the same position to investigate the disappearances, Vivian is forced to face the traumatic past she’s kept buried for the last ten years. With the help of journals she stole from her murdered parents’ study, Vivian learns that the vanished humans are at the heart of divine secrets that have the potential to change the world. Secrets inclusive of an unknown god, Casimir, who has his own plans for humankind and the family members that locked him away for eternity due to his tenebrous powers.

When the pair’s paths unexpectedly cross, Vivian and Casimir are forced to work together despite their opposing missions. As they grow dangerously closer, they both must determine which sacrifices need to be made in order to fulfill each of their ambitions—or if their ambitions remain the same now that new desires have taken root.

As devastating truths are uncovered, Vivian must make a choice with consequences that threaten to shatter the world as she knows it, and the heart that she tries to keep heavily guarded. Will she make the right decision when it matters most? Or will her choice betray not only her heart, but the rest of humankind?
